Speed-Commander™ 1400 SEL
The innovative SoftEdge door technology on the 1400 SEL prevents damage as well as the resulting downtime of the door system, making extensive repairs unnecessary. A concealed radio crash switch is installed in the bottom profile. When pushed out of the side guides by a crash, the switch transmits a signal to the control which immediately stops the door. This technology allows the door to be operated for up to 3 years without the need for maintenance, regardless of the number of door cycles.
The Speed-Commander™ 1400 SEL19 comes in a sectional panel design connected using aluminum profiles with specially designed edges that allow the panels to slide easily into the horizontal profiles for fast replacement.
Standard in the Speed-Commander™ 1400 SEL19, this light grid is built into the guide tracks up to 8′ high. Completely free of coil cords, the grid provides a wall of protection for personnel as well as equipment while full perimeter draft seals provide dust, odor, and other environmental controls.
The Speed-Commander™ 1400 SEL19 comes with a Smart Start™ NXT NEMA 4X UL control box. This control box accepts 208v to 575v / 3-phase / 60hz input voltage. With simplified wiring configuration, it is more powerful and has fewer components and cables as compared to the original Smart Start™. 1-phase control boxes are also optional.
Optional UPS Emergency Battery Packs are available with doors equipped with 230v / 1-phase control boxes. With this option, if the door loses power, the battery pack (Non-UL) automatically opens the door to allow for a quick exit. The battery packs are free of springs, counterbalance systems, and other high maintenance parts. When the battery needs replaced an alarm will sound. Replacing the battery takes only a few minutes.
Speed-Commander™ 1500 Compact Interior Door Openings
The Speed-Commander™ 1500 Compact has a wlded panel and steel stiffeners for stability. These doors seal well due to the narrow insertion area and guide track draft seals.
The elegant and compact aluminum guide tracks only require 5-1/2″ of clearance on either side while a powerful UL rated, high-cycle tubular motor needs only 17-3/4″ of headroom.
The optional remote keypad is the ideal accessory for applications that require the control box to be installed out of reach of the door in a central location.
Speed-Master® 1600
The 1600 panel is constructed of anti-static, puncture resistant, nylon-reinforced PVC. A full-width vision area and interlocking aluminum hinge profiles come standard. The panel design allows for easy replacement of materials after being hit. There are a variety of panel colors available to accommodate any space. Pure Orange RAL 2004, Gentian Blue RAL 5010, Zinc Yellow RAL 1018, Carmine Red RAL 3002, Agate Gray RAL 7038, Pure White RAL 9010.
The Speed-Master® 1600 comes equipped with heavy duty 12 ga hot-dipped galvanized steel guide tracks as well as a standard built in light grid. This grid is completely free of coil cords, providing a wall of protection for personnel and equipment. The low-profile track dimensions allow for a fit in areas with limited clearance.

Speed-Guardian™ 5000
The 10″ x 1-5/8″ thick panel slats made of hot-dipped galvanized steel provide a durable and lasting surface. With an R-Value of 13.6 the Speed Guardian has a urethane core, providing optimum insulation. Synthetic panel connects provide a smooth and quiet door operation while thermal breaks located on the top and bottom of each slat provide even better thermal efficiency.
The Speed-Guardian™ 5000 now has tinted privacy windows available in Obscured White or Smoke Gray. Coated with Hörmann’s exclusive Duratec® finish, these lites prevent marks and scratches caused by cleaning. Insulated with either double or triple pane, all window styles are optional.
